Michael Wu is the Energy Program Director for the Truman National Security Project and Center for National Policy, specializing in the connection between energy and national security.

Before joining the Truman Project, Michael served as a Fellow at the Constitution Project’s Task Force on Detainee Treatment. Previously, he served at the Office of the General Counsel, Department of Defense (International Affairs) and worked on Capitol Hill for Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA) and Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA).

Michael is an officer in the U.S. Army JAG Corps Reserves, and a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law and St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. When not chained to his desk, Michael can be found playing, watching, or blogging about basketball. He is a proud native of the San Francisco Bay Area, and an endlessly optimistic fan of the Golden State Warriors.
