Michele Botwin Raphael

Michele Botwin Raphael is a writer and editor, specializing in digital media, entertainment, pop culture, arts, books, sex, health, lifestyle and feminist topics. She is the co-founder of a new literary and arts publication, Angels Flight | literary west, based in Los Angeles. A 2014 National Press Foundation Fellow, she currently writes for Quartz, Variety, Glamour and Los Angeles Review of Books. She previously held roles as a staff writer and "Cybertainment" columnist for Los Angeles Times; a features editor for latimes.com; a co-founding editor of the Online Journalism Review; a writer for Billboard and other magazines; and a director of publications and events for the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center entertainment thinktank.
