Mike is European managing director at technology start-up Nuro Secure Messaging.

Drawing on his fifteen years’ experience as a business owner and senior executive with one of security industry’s best-known software brands, Mike has been blogging about business cybersecurity issues since 2012. He is also an accomplished speaker, addressing delegates at major public events like Mobile World Congress as well as numerous business conferences.

Prior to his present position Mike served with AVG in a number of capacities including three years as UK Managing Director and latterly as General Manager AVG Business responsible for global sales, operations and channel strategy. He also oversaw a number of strategic business acquisitions.

Mike’s association with AVG began in 2002 when he was running his own business as AVG’s UK partner. He established the company’s entry into the UK through online sales, reseller channels, a UK-based customer service and technical support department. Under Mike’s leadership, AVG became the leading consumer antivirus program in the UK at which point he sold the business to AVG’s parent company and joined its executive board.

Prior to his work with AVG, Mike was Managing Partner at F1 Services, an IT reseller. He holds a BSC Hons from Coventry University and his specialties include Operations, Strategic Planning, Business Management, Customer Service and Technical Support.
