Fleur De Weerd is a Dutch historian and freelance writer who has written extensively about the former Soviet Union for various newspapers in the Netherlands. She was the official correspondent for the Dutch daily, Trouw, in Ukraine during the Euro-Cup Soccer championship.
Miles Atkinson has been living, traveling and studying in the former Soviet Union for the last year and a half. He is from Charleston, South Carolina and is currently studying in the Russian Far East and Siberia on a State Department scholarship.
