Mimi Carter

Mimi Carter is Executive Vice President for SparkLight Communications which specializes in marketing and communications strategy for nonprofit, corporate, health care and educational organizations. She holds a Master's Degree in Journalism and Public Policy from American University. Mimi's expertise is in writing, social media strategy, and media relations. Her most recent client work has included blog monitoring, social media creation and outreach, as well editorial writing and placement. Her clients include the National Geographic Education Programs and Hanover Investment Group.

She is the author of "The Insider's Guide to Quality Child Care in Greater Washington" and is a sitting member of the Alexandria City School Board, one of 19 elected officials in the city of Alexandria.
