Mollie Reilly is HuffPost's managing editor for breaking news. She oversees a team of editors and reporters who cover the most urgent stories of the day, from politics to world affairs to entertainment to natural disasters. She has worked at HuffPost since 2011 in a variety of roles, including as a reporter focused on politics, breaking news and California affairs. In 2020, she was selected for Poynter's Leadership Academy for Women in Media. Prior to HuffPost, she worked as an assistant editor at Washingtonian Magazine. She graduated from Colgate University, where she edited the student newspaper and studied political science and English literature. She lives in her native San Francisco Bay Area. When she’s not working she enjoys exploring all Northern California has to offer, reading novels, watching reality TV and rooting on the San Francisco Giants and Ferrari's F1 team.
