Moya Dodd

Moya Dodd is a lawyer, football administrator and former vice-captain of Australia’s women’s football team. She played in FIFA’s first ever women’s football tournament in 1988, where she represented the ‘Matildas’ in a 1-0 victory over Brazil. She is a partner at law firm Gilbert + Tobin, having worked in the media and telecommunications industries for over 20 years. In 2007, Dodd joined the board of the Football Federation Australia and two years later was elected vice-president of the Asian Football Confederation. In 2013, she was one of the first women to join FIFA’s executive committee, where she chaired a task force on women’s football and advocated for the inclusion of women in the FIFA reforms. She also serves on the ICAS, the governing body of the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
