Mrs. Mimi (a.k.a. Jennifer Scoggin) taught first and second grades for nine years in the New York City public school system. Currently, Mrs. Mimi is a literacy consultant and seventh year doctoral student studying the professional identities of teachers. She is the creator of the blog “It’s Not All Flowers and Sausages” where she has chronicled her experiences and strong opinions since 2007. In 2009, Mrs. Mimi’s blog was turned into a book by the same name.
