Mustafa Abdullah

Program Associate, ACLU of Eastern Missouri

Mustafa Abdullah is currently a member of the U.S. Department’s Generation Change program. Mustafa is currently a board member of Missouri Immigrant and Refugee Advocatesand works as the Program Associate at the ACLU of Eastern Missouri where he does intake of civil liberties complaints, public education on civil liberties, coalition-building on constitutional issues, and lobbying. Mustafa is currently helping to spearhead campaigns for immigration reform, a civilian advisory board for the St. Louis City Jails, a civilian review board for the St. Louis Police Department, and an Islamic Dress policy for the St. Louis County jails. Voluntarily, Mustafa is working with a core team of Muslim organizers to create a national Muslim organizing network to empower Muslims to get involved in grass roots organizing and advocacy on social justice issues and build stronger Muslim institutions.
