Mwaura Samora is an award winning journalist with ten years experience in a wide range of issues from political, business, environment and international diplomacy. He has a passion for telling that story that will touch people in a way that will educate, inform, empower and if possible entertain. He has a Master of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Nairobi and a certificate from International Institute of Journalism in Berlin, Germany. He was awarded with the prestigious United Nations Correspondents Award in 2012 for a story he did on the plight of Sudanese Nubian immigrants in Kenya. He received the award from the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon from the UN Headquarters in New York. Currently he writes for the biggest newspaper in East and Central Africa Daily Nation. He has also contributed to the World Policy Journal discussing the Somali Question in Kenya's and East Africa's war against terrorism. He is also writing a book on one of the biggest forests in the Kenyan capital Nairobi that is to be released in 2017.
