NANCY GILES has been a contributor to “CBS News Sunday Morning” for six years, voicing her opinions on everything from politics and race to the conspiracy of high heels. She won a “Gracie” award from American Women in Radio and Television for her work on “Sunday.” During the 2008 presidential campaign Nancy vented her spleen on "Hardball with Chris Matthews," "Verdict with Dan Abrams," "Larry King Live,""Showbiz Tonight," "The Early Show" on CBS and "The Today Show" on NBC. On radio: "The Jay Thomas Morning Show" and “Giles and Moriarty” with CBS News correspondent Erin Moriarty (2 "Gracies" for Best Talk Show)
She toured with Chicago’s Second City, was on the series "China Beach" and "Delta," had small but significant parts in movies like "Joshua," "True Crime," "Working Girl" and "Big," and has written and performed two solo pieces: Black Comedy: The Wacky Side of Racism and Notes of a Negro Neurotic. She’s adapting that and other true stories for a book she’s praying people will buy.
