Nancy Harrington

Advocate for LGBT rights and HIV/AIDS education

Nancy Harrington was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Oklahoma University, she joined the Air Force and married her husband Van. When she retired as a Major, she and Van returned to her childhood home to raise their children, Nikki, Zack and Austin. Later, she earned a Masters in Special Education from OU and now teaches students with learning disabilities as a Special Education Teacher. After the tragic suicide of her son Zack, Nancy has become an advocate for LGBT rights and HIV/AIDS education.
