Naomi Cahill is a registered dietitian with 15 years experience working in the clinical, community, academic and non-profit settings. Naomi has a Doctorate in Epidemiology from the Department of Public Health Sciences at Queens University, Kingston, ON Canada, where her research focussed on knowledge translation through the implementation of nutrition guidelines. Naomi’s contributions to clinical nutrition research have been recognized through numerous awards. She also has over 50 published peer-reviewed publications and given podium presentations at national and international conferences. For the past 3 years, Naomi has been embracing a more simple way of being, living on a beach in the small community of Manzano Uno in rural Nicaragua with her husband and two young children, where they own a small eco-resort, El Coco Loco and founded a non-profit community development organization, Waves of Hope. From here, Naomi continues to share her knowledge and passion about the role of nutrition in both preventing disease and optimizing health and wellness through her roles as a sessional lecturer, consultant, and blogger.
