Naomi Seligman

President, Seligman Consulting

Naomi has built her career transforming talented people and organizations into powerhouses of influence. Her hard-hitting media strategies have put clients on the map for 20 years, in a career spanning both coasts and the very different worlds of Washington D.C. and Hollywood.

As president of Seligman Consulting, she creates winning strategies for advocacy organizations, writers, documentary-makers and entertainment industry luminaries, generating media buzz and building partnerships around their films and campaigns.

Naomi created, launched and led a national advocacy and entertainment campaign for INOCENTE, the 2013 Oscar winner for Best Documentary Short at the Academy Awards. She has worked with Carie LeMack, founder of the Global Survivors Network, on publicizing the 2011 Oscar-nominated short documentary Killing in the Name, and with Oscar-nominated producer Marc Smolowitz on the award-winning documentary The Power of Two.

In her political work, she has helped end the careers of some of the most corrupt members of Congress, targeted the NRA and its allies, exposed front groups covering for corporate interests, and rooted out misinformation in the media.

Naomi launched and directed the communications operations of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and Media Matters for America and was the media force behind the defense of outed undercover CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson and her husband, Ambassador Joseph Wilson.

She has worked with actors from Kim Cattrall to Ellen Page and the stars of Criminal Minds to advance their advocacy efforts. She launched the 'Rebuild The Dream' Campaign Tour with Van Jones, Shepard Fairey and The Roots.

Naomi has been featured in media including CNN, NPR, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Roll Call, The Wall Street Journal and the AP.

Naomi is a partner with the Truman National Security Network and a mentor with New Leaders Council. She has worked extensively on Capitol Hill.
