Natalie Ravitz is Director of Communications for the New York City Department of Education, the largest system of public schools in the United States, serving about 1.1 million students in over 1,600 schools. Before joining the NYC DOE, Natalie was Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, for whom she first spent six years as Communications Director and Press Secretary. She joined Senator Boxer after working as Press Secretary for Senator Paul Wellstone’s 2002 reelection campaign.
