Netosh Jones

Teacher, MLK Elementary, Washington D.C.

Netosh Jones is a veteran elementary grade school teacher in the District of Columbia, where she is also one of the Science Co-Chairs at her school. Ms. Jones holds a Master’s Degree in Reading and is currently working on a second graduate degree. In 2010, she completed a STEM Certification program through Teachers’ College Columbia University, as part of a fellowship with NASA Endeavor Fellows. She is a member of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), District of Columbia Science Teachers Association (DCSTA), Sally Ride Science Academy, the Association for Science and Engineering Education (ASEE), and the District of Columbia Science Teachers Association (DCSTA). This year, Ms. Jones participated in NASA Explorer Schools to advance her students’ interest in Science and Mathematics, as well as improve virtual learning experiences.
