Nicola Mendelsohn

Vice President of Facebook EMEA

Nicola Mendelsohn joined Facebook in June 2013 as the Vice President of Facebook EMEA. Previously she was Executive Chairman and a Partner at the advertising agency Karmarama, which she joined in April 2008. Nicola is responsible for operations across Facebook’s Europe, Middle East and Africa businesses, focusing on developing digital marketing solutions and strengthening relationships with the marketing and advertising communities. Nicola also leads Facebook's focus on developing resources for fast-developing markets in the region.
Nicola is co-chair of the Creative Industries Council and last year launched its vision and strategy for the UK creative industries for 2020. In addition, Nicola is a Director of the Women’s Prize for Fiction and a Trustee of The White Ribbon Alliance.Prior to joining Facebook, Nicola was president of the IPA (the advertising industry trade body), the first woman president in its 96 year history.
Her greatest joy in life comes from her husband Jon and her four children Gabi, Danny, Sam and Zac.
