Nicola Barnard is a travel blogger, photographer, entrepreneur and independent home-working travel counsellor, where Nicola’s business focusses on personal tailor-made holidays for clients wanting to travel all over the world.

Between 2012 and 2016 Nicola was the founder/owner of independent travel consultancy company Blue Penguin Travel who specialised in off-the-beaten-track bespoke itineraries in New Zealand.

She has travelled widely and her favourite destinations include New Zealand (where she and her husband lived for a year), Tasmania, Iceland and Lake Tahoe (the destination for her dream wedding in 2010).

In 2012 Nicola trained to be a Secondary English teacher but changed her life forever when she left to travel to New Zealand. During her time living in New Zealand Nicola was inspired to set up Blue Penguin Travel.

She currently lives with her husband and son in Frome in the UK where she is a lucky mother to a cheeky toddler.
