Nicole Balin is founder of Ballin PR, a PR and marketing firm dedicated to independent artists. She is the co-author of God Save the Queen Diva! (Gallery Books/Simon and Schuster), a memoir about the life of New Orleans Queen of Bounce and TV star, Big Freedia. Nicole continues to represent Big Freedia and has appeared on the hit reality show 'Big Freedia Queen of Bounce' FuseTV's no. 1 original series. Nicole's writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Source, Rap Pages, and Parenting. In the 90s, she worked as an editor at Parenting and The Source magazines. She is finishing a collection of essays about dating in her 40s. Her memoir, Lessons from a Hip-Hop Publicist about her experiences working in hip-hop in the 90s is due out in 2018.
