Nicole Field Brzeski

Co-founder, First Ladies Community Initiative

Nicole serves as executive director and co-founder of the First Ladies Community Initiative and as Senior Advisor to RAND Corporation on the African First Ladies Fellowship Program. She has extensive public health experience in the areas of public health, women’s development, and disaster preparedness and response around the world, including natural and man-made disasters. In 2009, she was the Senior Technical Advisor to the African First Ladies Health Summit. Nicole has previously worked for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London and the UCLA School of Public Health as a researcher. Her previous careers were in information technology and market research. She has a BA from Duke University in International Studies and a Masters Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in Public Health. In addition to working with communities and first ladies, she enjoys her family, playing with animals, and trying to grow her vegetable and fruit gardens.
