Nikhil Arora founded Back to the Roots, an urban farm in Oakland, California, with Alejandro Velez upon graduating from UC Berkeley in 2009. Nikhil has since helped grow the farm to create Grow-Your-Own Mushroom Gardens as well as a Home Aquaponics Garden, overseeing operations and marketing. He’s been awarded in Inc’s 2012 30 Under 30, Forbes 2011 30 Under 30, spoken at TEDx, and led Back to the Roots to profits in its first years.
