Nikolas Kozloff

New York-based political writer and photographer.

Nikolas Kozloff is a New York-based author who received his doctorate in Latin American history from Oxford University. He is he author of Hugo Chávez: Oil, Politics and the Challenge to the U.S., Revolution! South America and the Rise of the New Left and No Rain in the Amazon: How South America's Climate Change Affects the Entire Planet. Few have written as extensively as Kozloff about Latin America and the wider region, with nearly 300 articles and counting. Kozloff has provided political analysis for CNN, PBS' Charlie Rose show, the BBC and National Public Radio, and even put in a guest appearance on the Daily Show. Recently, he has been writing prolifically about the deterioration in East-West relations, Vladimir Putin and political crisis in Ukraine. Kozloff speaks some rudimentary Russian and concluded a research trip to Kiev, Ukraine in 2014.
