Noel Holston

Noel Holston is a freelance writer and storyteller who spent three-plus decades covering popular culture for Newsday and other newspapers.

Mississippi native Noel Holston has written more than 4 million words about popular culture, TV and music in particular, for The Orlando Sentinel, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and New York Newsday in his long journalistic career. His criticism, features and profiles have appeared in more than 100 papers, including The Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times and New York Daily News. In 2006, he became the public relations director and principal writer for Peabody Awards program at the University of Georgia. Retired now, he lives in Athens, Ga., with his wife, singer-actress Marty Winkler.
