Nora Laine Herzog is a spoken word artist from Anchorage, Alaska currently based out of Madison, Wisconsin. She is also the executive director of KO9, a non-profit arts and education organization focused on creating a safe space for expression and exploration of story and voice through hip-hop. Nora hopes to use her voice as a platform from which to bring about social change. <br /> <br /> Nora is a passionate advocate who believes that art and activism are intrinsically linked. She believes in accountability as a form of intelligence, honesty as a means of existence, and love as a path to permanence. Her poetry will be published in several literary journals including undr_scr review this spring. She is a member of the 9th Cohort of First Wave, a hip-hop arts and activism program at UW-Madison where Nora is currently studying Microbiology and Creative Writing.
