Nora served on a National HR Committee of the American Business Media; on the Indiana State Society for Human Resource Management Council; and has served as President of the Northern Indiana Human Resource Management Association. She was the Indiana State President of the Work Adjustment and Vocational Evaluation Association. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and American Society for Training and Development as well as Toastmasters International.
An undergraduate in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University; Master of Science in Rehabilitation Administration and Services from Southern Illinois University; Senior Professional in Human Resources designation through the Human Resource Certification Institute.
Nora’s career led her from supervising disabled adults in a sheltered workshop to directing all the rehabilitation services. Her healthcare experience began in Staff Development of a medical hospital and led to being the Acting Administrator of a locked psychiatric residential care facility. Nora’s manufacturing experience mirrored her previous career path starting as a human resource director in a company riddled with EEOC suits; she left as the Chief Operating Officer when the company was at the top of its game.
