Norman Fischer is a poet, author and one of the senior Soto Zen Buddhist priests in America. He served as Co-Abbot of the San Francisco Zen Center from 1995-2000, when he founded the Everyday Zen Foundation, a network of Zen and related groups dedicated to sharing the zen teaching and practice widely with the world. His latest prose work is Sailing Home: Using the Wisdom of Homer’s Odyssey to Navigate Life’s Perils and Pitfalls. His latest poetry collection is Questions/Places/Voices/Seasons.
