Osaama is a member of the Muslim Writers Guild of America and a member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community — the oldest Muslim organization in the United States. Osaama regular engages in service projects, such as the "Muslims for Life" initiative, which helped collect over 30,000 bags of blood across the United States in remembrance of the victims of 9/11. Osaama is also a board member for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Lawyer Association and assists in pro bono cases in different parts of the world. Osaama received his bachelors of arts in Economics and Rhetoric, with honors, at the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Osaama frequently lectures at universities and has been interviewed by media outlets. Osaama is a practicing attorney in Santa Barbara.
