Owen Thiele started blogging when he was an outgoing and somewhat larger-than-life thirteen year old.

Owen has always loved performing for people. It was no surprise that the theatre would become a "second home". He was introduced to music at a very early age. His father, Bob Thiele Jr., is an accomplished and award-winning producer, songwriter and executive. In Paris, at age 2 ½, Owen attended his first concert while his dad was working with French rap artist MC Solaar. His father also played the classics for him, including Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone, Aretha Franklin, and Michael Jackson.

Owen has performed live in Los Angeles at various clubs, including The Whisky-A-Go-Go, The Cat Club, and most recently, Genghis Cohen. Owen has been singing with one of his best friends, Molly Gordon, for at least a year now. They cover songs they love in many genres, such as "Creep" by Radiohead, http://vimeo.com/52055671, and The Jackson Five's "I Want You Back"http://vimeo.com/56675128

No matter where or what song he was singing, Owen has always embraced style. Whether sporting five clip-on pacifiers at a time as a toddler or layering three different colored bandanas on his head as a young, elementary school student, Owen has always done fashion his own way. While other kids longed for the nearest toy store, Owen could be found making friends with the neighborhood shopkeepers, offering his help with their customers and experimenting with new looks for himself.

Outside of entertaining people, Owen has an interest in causes relating to the environment. He has traveled to Sacramento, California to lobby with Defenders of Wildlife. He is also interested in the history and ongoing issues of civil rights, taking the opportunity to learn about the workings of the ACLU and other organizations. Owen also canvassed in Nevada and made a video with friends to help get out the vote for Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential Election, and worked for his re-election in 2012.

Owen was adopted at birth in Houston, Texas, and brought back to Los Angeles where he has resided ever since. He is now seventeen and a senior year in high school.
