Panos Livadas

Panos Livadas was born in Athens in 1964. He graduated from Athens College and obtained his Bachelor degree in Business Administration and Political Science at Hofstra University, New York, and at the University of Florida, Florida.

In 1997, he graduated with a MA in Political Science and Sociology, from the University of Athens, and in 2007 he was awarded a Ph.D in Political Science from the same University.

In March 2004, Panos Livadas was appointed Secretary General of Information by the Greek Prime Minister, Costas Karamanlis, and the Minister of State, Theodoros Roussopoulos. His appointment was renewed after the September 2007 elections. Among other duties, he is in charge of Greece’s communications strategy abroad.

He has worked in the private sector both in the United States of America and Greece and he has published extensively on analysis of social studies, polling, economic analysis, political theory, and issues of globalization.

He is married to Athina Kranidou and has three children.
