Pat Oglesby

Lawyer; Former Congressional tax staffer

Patrick Oglesby, a North Carolina lawyer, is the founder of the nonprofit Center for New Revenue, www.newrevenue.org. A 1969 graduate of Davidson College, he earned an MBA and a law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill, where he served as editor-in-chief of the law review. After a federal clerkship in the old Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans and private law practice, he served as International Tax Counsel for the Joint Congressional Committee on Taxation and as Chief Tax Counsel for the U.S. Senate Finance Committee. He has served on the adjunct faculty at UNC’s Law and Business Schools.
