Patrick W. Gavin is the associate editorial page editor at the Washington Examiner, a 260,000+ circ. daily newspaper covering Washington, Northern Virginia, and Maryland suburbs. In addition, he is a contributing editor at FishbowlDC (www.fishbowldc.com), a blog that focuses on issues related to Washington, D.C.’s media. Previously he served as a writer and media relations officer at the Brookings Institution, a non-partisan public policy think tank located in Washington. From 2000 to 2003, Gavin taught 7th and 8th grade History and English at Princeton Day School in New Jersey.

He is currently working on a book about the events of September 10, 2001, tentatively titled, "The Day Before."
