Paul S. Zeitz

Advocate for Global Peace & Justice

Dr. Paul Zeitz is a tireless advocate for global justice and the realization of human rights. During his career he has been active in strategic political advocacy for human rights, equal opportunity, and justice for all in the USA and around the World. Zeitz is currently working to ensure the success of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the Director of the Data Revolution for Sustainable Development Team, U.S. Department of State. For the past 25 years, Dr. Zeitz has worked with organizations to influence public policy in the areas of monitoring and mutual accountability, fiscal transparency, expanded US leadership, stronger global response to the HIV/AIDS crisis, global health, universal education, and the elimination of poverty. Dr. Zeitz’s has developed strong relationships with key stakeholders in civil society and faith-based organizations, governments, private sector, and global institutions in the USA and around the world. Dr. Zeitz is an accomplished media spokesperson, appearing frequently on television and radio news programs, in print and published op-eds. Dr. Zeitz earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in 1988. He completed a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, a preventive medicine residency and a global health fellowship at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University between 1989-1992. Dr. Zeitz is certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM). He and his wife, Dr. Mindi Cohen, have five sons.
