Peg Perl has focused her career on strengthening and modernizing our institutions of democracy. She works in the nonprofit community advocating for government ethics, campaign finance, fair elections, and open records at the state and local level. She also coordinates the Courts Matter Colorado coalition of organizations focused on public education and advocacy about the federal courts in Colorado and the U.S. Supreme Court. Before moving to Colorado in 2010, she held public service positions as counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Ethics Committee and as a policy attorney with the Federal Election Commission. Peg teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver, serves on the Board of the Colorado Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society and is the current Board Chair of the Women’s Lobby of Colorado.
