Perry E. Thurston, Jr. is a Democratic member of the Florida State Senate, representing District 33. He was first elected to the chamber in 2016. Thurston is a former Democratic member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 94 from 2006 to 2014. He served as Minority Leader in 2014. Thurston earned his B.A. in Finance from Morehouse College and his J.D. from the University of Miami. His professional experience includes working as an attorney.
