Peter Kissinger

President and CEO, AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety

J. Peter Kissinger is President and CEO of the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, a non-profit organization devoted to preventing motor vehicle-related injuries and deaths. Before joining the AAA Foundation, Kissinger served as Senior Vice President at the Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF), an affiliate of the American Society of Civil Engineers, after spending 12 years with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), first as a safety specialist and then as managing director. Early in his career Kissinger served as an operations research analyst for the US Coast Guard’s Federal Boating Safety Program. Kissinger earned a MS in operations research from the George Washington University in 1975 and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
