Peter Naccarato

Associate Professor of English at Marymount Manhattan College and author.

Peter Naccarato is Associate Professor of English and Chair of the Humanities division at Marymount Manhattan College. He earned his Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His recent scholarly work is in the area of food studies, focusing on the role of food and food practices in circulating ideologies and sustaining individual and group identities. With Kathleen LeBesco, he is co-editor of Edible Ideologies: Representing Food and Meaning (SUNY Press, 2008), co-author of Culinary Capital (University of Georgia Press, forthcoming), and co-teacher of “Edible Ideologies: The Politics of Food.”
