Phyllis E. Greenberger, MSW, is HealthyWomen's Senior Vice President for Science & Health Policy. She directs HealthyWomen’s effort to publicize and support health policy that improves women’s lives and raise awareness among women about how policy affects their health.
Phyllis leads HealthyWomen's focus on raising awareness for inclusion of women and minorities in clinical trials and support for considering sex as a biological variable in research studies.
As a well-respected women's health advocate, Phyllis has earned widespread recognition for her contributions to advancing women's health. She is the recipient of numerous awards throughout her career including the 2013 "Woman of the Year" award from the National Association of Professional Women. In 2016, Phyllis was awarded the Trailblazer award by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Women's Health in recognition of her work. From 1990 through 2016, Phyllis was the president and CEO of the Society for Women's Health Research.
