Pierce Brosnan


Recognized internationally as one of the most skilled dramatic actors working today, two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Pierce Brosnan starred this year in Roman Polanski’s critically acclaimed film <i>The Ghost Writer</i> and in <i>The Greatest</i> with Susan Sarandon, which premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009. He also starred in <i>Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief</i> and <i>Remember Me</i>. <br> <br> Brosnan’s film credits include <i>Mamma Mia!</i> with Meryl Streep, <i>Married Life</i> with Rachel McAdams and Patricia Clarkson, <i>Seraphim Falls</i> with Liam Neeson, <i>The Matador</i>, for which he received a Golden Globe Award nomination, John Boorman’s critically acclaimed <i>The Tailor of Panama</i>, Sir Richard Attenborough’s <i>Grey Owl</i>, <i>The Mirror Has Two Faces</i> with Barbra Streisand, <i>Mrs. Doubtfire</i> with Robin Williams and Bruce Beresford’s <i>Mr. Johnson</i>. <br> <br> Brosnan is perhaps best known worldwide for his portrayal of James Bond in the box-office blockbusters <i>Goldeneye</i>, <i>Tomorrow Never Dies</i>, <i>The World Is Not Enough</i> and <i>Die Another Day</i>.  <br> <br> In addition to his work in front of the camera, Brosnan has always had an interest in the art of filmmaking. In 1996 he launched his own production company, Irish DreamTime along with producing partner Beau St. Clair. Irish DreamTime has produced seven films to date: <i>The Nephew</i> (1998), <i>The Thomas Crown Affair</i> (1999), <i>Evelyn</i> (2002), <i>Laws of Attraction</i> (2004), <i>The Matador</i> (2005), <i>Shattered</i> (2007) and <i>The Greatest</i> (2010). <br> <br> Brosnan most recently filmed <i>Salvation Boulevard</i> with Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly and will star in director Walter Hill’s <i>St. Vincent</i> later this year which Irish DreamTime will also produce.
