One of few writers to go from GED to Ph.D., Bauer is well-versed in many subjects. Award-winning playwright (Emerging Playwright Award, Urban Stages; finalist, Heideman Award, Actors' Theater of Louisville; Outstanding Script Midtown International Theater Festival, and more), plays produced Off Broadway, off-off Broadway, regionally, and abroad at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brighton Fringe Festival, and London's Theatre Etcetera.
