Robert Alexander

Professor of Political Science at Ohio Northern University, optimist, pragmatist, and advocate for centrist politics

Robert Alexander is the Chair of the Department of History, Politics, and Justice at Ohio Northern University. He is a professor of political science and has been recognized for his teaching through numerous teaching awards. He has published three books, including his most recent book, Presidential Electors and the Electoral College. Professor Alexander is a frequent contributor to media outlets, having been interviewed in hundreds of instances by print, television and radio. He has appeared on C-SPAN, MSNBC, and NPR’s Day to Day. His op-eds have appeared with, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and the Toledo Blade. Dr. Alexander is a member of the Executive Board of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science honor society and is also a member of the National Liaison Advisory Board for the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
