Rabbi Arnold E. Resnicoff

Rabbi Arnold E. Resnicoff is a retired Navy Chaplain, former Special Assistant for Values and Vision to the Secretary and Chief-of-Staff of the U.S. Air Force, and
former National Director of Interreligious Affairs for the American Jewish Committee. His military career began as a line officer in the rivers of Vietnam and service with military intelligence in Europe before leaving the military to study for the rabbinate, and returning to the military to serve almost 25 additional years as a chaplain. His eye-witness account of the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, requested by the White House, was read as a keynote speech by President Ronald Reagan to the 20,000 attendees at the Rev. Jerry Falwell's Baptist Fundamentalism '84 in Washington, D.C. He is the author of “Prayers that Hurt: Public Prayer in Interfaith Settings.”
