Rabbi April is the author of The Demythification and Demystification of the Bible, a winner of the 2013 International Book Awards.

Rabbi April is a member of the national Rabbinical Assembly of America, a past president of the North Broward Board of Rabbis, a former ethics committee chairman of the Greater Philadelphia Board of Rabbis, and a television and radio contributor of the Greater Miami Rabbinical Association.

Rabbi April graduated from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in political science, winning the senior debating award, and received his M.A. from Columbia University in the field of educational psychology. He was ordained at Hebron Theological Seminary by Chief Rabbi of Israel, Isaac Halevi Herzog. He has served as spiritual leader for 10 years for congregations in greater Philadelphia, and for over 28 years in southern Florida.

Rabbi April and his wife Judith are the proud parents of two children and the devoted grandparents of seven grandchildren. They reside in Boca Raton, Fla.
