Rachel Yee

Freshman in high school

Rachel Yee is currently a freshman in high school, and has wonderful thirst for knowledge and a passion for dance. She has been dancing since the age of two and has performed in numerous competitions, productions, and plays. Rachel danced competitively with Seven Stars School of Performing Arts for 8 consecutive years and then studied with Maria Calegari and Bart Cook at Caleco Ballet Studio. She also danced at the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance. She is now currently studying dance at Armonk Center for Dance and is performing in the Mooney Cooley Dance production of the “Nutcracker.”

During the summers, Rachel has performed in many plays such as, “Anything Goes,” “The Sound of Music,” “Bye, Bye, Birdie,” “Cinderella,” and “Beauty and the Beast.” She enjoys performing and loves the feeling of being up on stage.

As for school, Rachel is a very hardworking and tenacious student. She is enrolled in all honors classes and works diligently in each class. She joined Mu Alpha Theta or math honor society and last year was apart of the National Junior Honor Society. Considering that dance is a major part in her life, she is on the school’s dance team and preforms at the football games and at the basketball games.

In Rachel’s free time she enjoys drawing, graphic design, writing, reading, and baking.
