Rafi Bildner

Rafi Bildner is originally from Montclair, New Jersey and a sophomore at Yale University. Before starting college, he took a gap year to found October Mountain Farm - a diversified vegetable farm in the hills of Western Massachusetts - attend French culinary school, and work for the Obama campaign's finance team in Chicago. He is currently studying agriculture, food policy and rural issues at Yale. At school, he is a farm manager for the Yale Sustainable Food Project and teaches an environmental justice course in the Yale Peabody Museum's after school program. He served as the treasurer of his freshmen class and is involved in local political organizing and legislative policy research for the New Haven Board of Alders. He is also a passionate aviator, and has his private pilots license and instrument rating.
