Randi Hacker has been a writer since the twentieth century. For three glorious years from 1989 to 1992, she was the creator, publisher, editor and writer of P3, an award-winning environmental magazine that empowered kids to act on behalf of their home planet. Her book, How to Live Cheap, Green and Happy enjoyed a cult following. Her young adult novel, Life as I Knew It, was released by Simon & Schuster in 2006 and named one of the Books for the Teen Age 2007 by the New York Public Library. Her essays and articles have appeared in The New York Times Book Review, Punch and Spy. Her radio show, Postcards from Abroad can be heard weekly on KPR, the KU NPR affiliate.
