Reena Gupta, MD

Dr. Reena Gupta is the director of the Voice and Swallowing Center at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute. She is an Ear, Nose, and Throat physician and laryngologist/voice specialist who has devoted her career to caring for professional voice users. Her practice is located in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Towers in Los Angeles, California.

She is a respected expert in Laryngology and has published in numerous journals and textbooks, including Operative Techniques in Laryngology and Professional Voice: The Science and Art of Clinical Care.

Dr. Gupta has been invited to speak at universities locally and internationally. She lectures on vocal care issues at Pepperdine University, teaching young artists how to protect and preserve their voices. She has been invited to speak at choral groups throughout the city and has been elected for membership in prominent professional organizations, including the American Laryngological Association.

Dr. Gupta strongly believes in advocating for performers and designs treatment plans that enable her patients to thrive in their careers. She is the founder of the Los Angeles Voice Club, a group that enables cooperative approach between laryngologists, speech pathologists and vocal coaches to improve patients’ outcomes.

Dr. Gupta's desire to care for voice patients stems from her passion for the vocal arts. She began singing in elementary school and continued building on this foundation through private vocal training while in high school. Throughout college, she sang in the Pennsylvania State University Choir while pursuing her love for the art of medicine. She was then accepted into Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where she continued to combine her singing background with her interests in medicine, singing in the medical school’s choir.

She went onto complete a 5 year residency program at New York University School of Medicine in Head and Neck surgery while concurrently conducting research in the field of Laryngology.

Upon graduation, from NYU Dr. Gupta was selected to complete the prestigious fellowship in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice at Drexel University College of Medicine.
