Rekisha Harris

Heart disease survivor

Rekisha was misdiagnosed for months before doctors realized she needed a heart transplant. Because she knew something was wrong and kept encouraging doctors to keep looking for answers, they found out she had an enlarged heart. Her story is a reminder to all women to listen to your body and be your own health advocate. Rekisha is a national volunteer for the AHA’s Go Red For Women movement.
