Stan J. Sloan is CEO of Family Equality Council, a national nonprofit fighting for lived and legal equality for LGBTQ families, and for LGBTQ individuals seeking to form families. Prior to joining Family Equality Council, Stan served as CEO of Chicago House, providing services for individuals and families disenfranchised by HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ poverty and/or gender nonconformity. Ordained in 1991, Stan is also an Episcopal priest, holds Masters degrees in Divinity and Theology from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake and the Weston School of Theology, and served as priest to 140 families in an inner-city Chicago parish in the 1990s. A native of Amarillo, Texas, Stan lives with his husband in the NYC-area.
