Richard Cordova

Writer, Health Educator, Fundraising & Business Development Consultant, Fitness Instructor, and habitual line stepper.

Richard is an independent fundraising & business development consultant working with non-profits to help increase donor engagement and fundraising dollars, a moderator in the Safe Sex and HIV Prevention forum on TheBody.com, spokesperson for PositiveSingles.com, and a Group Fitness Instructor. He’s a dog dad to two incredibly cute rescue Chihuahuas named Lady and The Todd.

Richard has been living with HIV since 2002. Since his diagnosis, he has run nine marathons, with a personal best time of 3:28, completed three half-marathons, a triathlon, and participated in Ride for AIDS Chicago as a participant six times, and completed the California AIDS Ride (AIDS LifeCycle) once. He believes that HIV saved his life, and without it, he would not be the man that he is today.

As a person living with HIV, Richard is committed to helping educate the public around HIV transmission and prevention, both through his work on TheBody.com, and personally in his own life, while helping to reduce the shame and stigma associated with the disease by living openly with his disease.
