I've been practicing cyber security for more than 22 years, delivering cyber defense, compliance, and security awareness programs for companies such as Citrix Systems, BankUnited, Office Depot, Marex.com, City of Miami, Tracfone, AvMed and Assurant.

My business acumen, management and leadership experience gives me the tools, knowledge and capabilities to produce successful outcomes for teams and individuals across complex environments.

My technical knowledge spans Internet and web application security, Enterprise security architecture and design, security operations management, vulnerability management, and Federal and State regulatory compliance for the financial, health care and retail markets.

At the end of the day, I help companies and individuals understand Cyber risk in easy-to-understand terms; and the choices, controls, and resources they have available to help them reduce risk.

After 22 years of experience, I have learned the most important trait one can develop to be an effective defense expert (or any professional for that matter) is to listen to the business carefully and ask a lot of questions. I spend a lot of time listening and asking questions so I can understand business goals and objectives clearly. It is an important component to being a successful risk advisor and communicator.
